The new ‘@ the Lit’ community cultural hub will be home to The Egham Museum.  It will move from the first floor to the ground floor, making it more accessible to local residents and tourists alike.

The Museum will be able to move many delicate archives into dedicated archive rooms ensuring their long term security.  The interpretation would be updated and more of the collection could be put on display due to more space.

Building on the Museum’s popular Events Programme, they would host more workshops in a dedicated activity room to the back of the building on the ground floor, which also leads into a small outdoor space.  This would become a sensory garden and an ideal place for visitors to reflect and be inspired.
